Abel Material Partners focuses on manufacturing doors for residential home builders. We have three vertical door lines that enable us to pre-hang the interior and exterior doors. Our customers include volume builders and custom builders located all over the DFW market. We order in the trim materials we need, then we load trailers with the doors we made in-house and the trim materials for that job. We have an in house delivery team that makes runs starting at 6am.
Job description:
This role will be over the receiving department, manufacturing department and logistics department. We will hire an experienced leader who will be planning ahead for the team they need to meet the manufacturing/delivery schedule we have at Abel Material Partners.
- Management of inventory and conducting inventory counts on a quarterly basis
- Set routine maintenance schedules for manufacturing line
- Hire staffing with the approval of upper management
- Set daily and weekly goals for all of the warehouse staff to advance operational efficiency
- Identify choke points within the processes and generate solutions to solve them
- Manage logistics supervisor
- Forecast downline for the needs you may have (assets, staff, space, etc)
- Scheduling coordination for logistics, manufacturing and project managers expectations
- Quality control addressing pre-hung builds, logistics efficiencies and inventory management
- Cleanliness and order throughout the warehouse
- Clear process and system flow that meets everyones needs and is easy for employees to follow
It is imperative that you are throughly understand a door shop and the materials and components needed to effectively put out a top end door unit with excellent efficiency.
